What is TTMS?

Travel Technology and Mobility Survey (TTMS) is a research project, which is led by Dr. Mahmudur Fatmi, a transportation professor at UBC – Okanagan. This study will collect historical household-level information regarding respondents’ vehicle ownership, residential locations, technology adoption such as preference for the autonomous vehicles, and attitudes.

Are there any incentives to the participants?

Survey participants can enter to a draw to win one $100 or one $50 or one of four $25 gift cards.

How can I participate in the survey?

You can participate by clicking on the link below.

You can use either your personal computer or tablet or mobile phone to complete the survey.

Who can participate in the Survey?

Households residing in Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country, Vernon, and Peachland are invited to participate in the survey.

How long does it take to complete the survey?

This survey will take about 20-25 minutes to complete.

How will the information be protected?

Confidentiality of the data will be maintained strictly. Any potential identifying information will be stripped from the dataset early on. The confidential information will not be shared with a 3rd party, and the survey data will only be utilized for research purposes. This online questionnaire is administered by the UBC-hosted version of Qualtrics. The data will be coded, saved, and stored in password protected drive. Data will be securely retained for a minimum of 5 years and will be stored in the UBC facility in Canada.

Why should I participate in this survey?

The findings of this study will help to shape your transportation future by assisting transportation planners and engineers to better understand the impact of peoples’ technology adoption and attitude on their mobility, and travel behaviour. Therefore, your response is very important as the quality of the survey depends highly on the response rate and diversity of respondents.
